26 Movies I Have Never Seen and Each Startes With a Letter of the Alphabet

11/7/2010 - Okay, this is my movie list I want to watch for each letter of the alphabet. Some might get swapped out with what comes to the movie theaters, hopefully not a classic one. The ones with * are from the 100 list of classic movies of all times. I thought I would get 2 lists worked on at the same time.

Annie Hall - watched this on 12/11/2010 and it was a struggle. Hope that is the worst of my movies on my list! Couldn't stand the Woody Allen character. I avoid people like that more and more. They are energy drainers and I would probably kill someone if I was stuck with them.

Bonnie and Clyde - watched this on 1/1/2011. Was a good movie and was interesting to see the original photographs in the beginning. Found it interesting too that this was Gene Wilders debut. He looked so young! And also in this... Denver Pyle. The name sounded familar but not the face. Well, think about it... when I remember seeing Denver Pyle he was in Grizzly Adams and Dukes of Hazzard. He was much older then.

Citizen Kane - 7/12/2011 Started watching some of my movies again. I know the answer about "Rosebud". At times, the movie was too drawn out and yet, it wasn't. I guess if I had been an editor, I would've taken out some trivial stuff, but I'm not and that is probably more of why it is a classic. LOL It was interesting to see Orsen Wells young... thin.

Dr. Zhivago - 7/16/2011 Another one from the classics list that I am using here. Was pretty good actually. Long, and does show the "intermission" like "Gone With the Wind" has. The movie had 2 people I didn't recognize at first. The first one was Rob Steiger. He played Victor.. who is the bad guy of the movie. I didn't like the character for a few reasons. The other was Alec Guinness (sp). who narrated the story some. Overall, the movie was well done for the tragedy that it was.

The French Connection - 1/9/2011 Mom and I watched this one. It was a little slow going at first but got going pretty good finally. They should redo this movie. I bet my dad watched this movie and/or read the book. I don't recall seeing the book around though. I am surprised I hadn't seen it before because of him.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - 7/13/2011 This wasn't on my list. I didn't realize there was a trilogy I guess, and yet, I now recall something on CBS Sunday Morning. I am going to see this again in a couple weeks, and may have the others with me also. There is some sexual scenes but moreso one that in particular is violent. Kind of gave me the chills. The story though... was good. A who dunnit and surprised ending. I couldn't figure out the one thing I didn't like about a character... and then I realized it. It was who the character is in real life. It was Christopher Plummer. I didn't like him being this bad guy.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - saw on 11/19/2010 at the midnight opening premier. I would like to see it again, especially before part 2 comes out.

Julie and Julia - 7/23/2011 I enjoyed taking a break and seeing this cute movie. Glad I didn't go to theater to see it, but enjoyable.

The King's Speech - Mom and I went on 1/30/2011 to see this movie and it was incredible! There was  moments of laughter and seriousness. I even got teary eyed. THIS is a movie I will add to my collection.

The Maltese Falcon  - 4/1/2011 I watched this with Mom. I was told to go home and relax, so I figured that this would be a good way to unwind. The movie was really good and had surprises in it for me. I really did enjoy it.

Send Flowers to 3 Friends, Just Because

6/23/2011 I sent my friend Danielle some flowers. She is a really sweet person, who has a great sense of humor. Her family is a riot with their back and forth banter. She and I would like to trade locations at this time, because someone I want to see is there and she wants to leave there so badly. Soon though, I will see her there. Can hardly wait! I have something for her when I see her.

10 Classic Movies I Have Never Seen

11/7/2010 - I have 10 movies that I took from the AFI list of 100 greatest movies from all times that I have never seen before. There are a few that I know about, as I may have caught a glimpse of them when flipping channels but never stayed with to watch. The ones with * are going to be carried over onto my list of 26 movies that I haven't seen and has a letter for each of the alphabet.

11/29/2010 - I have my Netflix queue lined up with this bunch of movies to get them knocked out. I think I will watch some of them with my mom as I am sure she will enjoy them too. Okay, so I do plan some things out.

Annie Hall - watched on 12/10/2010 and it was a struggle. I saw Woody Allen's character as someone I know and made my skin crawl

Bonnie and Clyde - 1/1/2011 mom and I watched this. Was good. Saw some familar names in it that I wasn't aware were in it.

The French Connection - 1/9/2011 Mom and I watched this. Wasn't too bad. Would be a good one for them to redo.

The Maltese Falcon - 4/1/2011 I watched this with Mom. I was told to go home and relax, so I figured that this would be a good way to unwind. The movie was really good and had surprises in it for me. I really did enjoy it.

Citizen Kane - 7/12/2011 I finally got this one watched. I just haven't been wanting to sit down and watch a movie. I decided this week though that I would get going again on my list. I know the answer now about "Rosebud". The movie was interesting in the a psychological sense to me but there was also some parts that were a little drawn out. I don't know if I would've picked this to see outside of it being a classic on the list. I am glad to have seen it though.

Doctor Zhivago - 7/16/2011 I was surprised by this movie. It was long... but kept my interest. I don't know how I want to describe it though. I don't want to give the story or plot. There was a sense of honor in it... and torn between loves. I didn't recognize Rob Steiger until much later in the movie. Another was Alec Guinness (sp). In the beginning, I wasn't paying as much attention at the character, as to what the information he was giving to set the story. Later, he was narrating a section that I began to focus on the voice.

Give/Send 5 Random Gifts to Friends

1/8/2011 - I saw a friend today that I met for lunch. I decided upon leaving the house to grab something I had made and give it to her, making her the first of my 5 random gifts to friends. I also decided to do something separate and similar that has to do with handmade items. That won't count here. For me, it's something separate.

2/13/2011 - I purchased a stuffed Mickey at Epcot today and had it sent to the son of a High School friend's friend. This young man just had surgery for cancer. He is a brave and strong young man. He has a wish coming up with the Make a Wish foundation. Maybe he will go and say hi to Mickey now.

4/18/2011 - I sent a signed and personalized copy of "Kingdom Keepers" to a friend's son for a late birthday present. I had asked if he liked to read and his mom said yes. Haven't heard if it was received yet.

6/14/2011 - I ordered a gift for R.'s son K. He had said the night before leaving WDW that he didn't get his Stitch. Well, Stitch is on his way to K. I hope he likes it. R. said that he will skype then so I can see K. open it.

(update: K likes his Stitch a lot!)
